Aligning with National Small Business Week, Market Week connects Capitol Hill and the wider DC community to small and local businesses, encouraging customers to invest in their local economy while fostering a walkable, vibrant, and inclusive neighborhood. Market Week celebrates restaurants, retailers, and services with a Passport to guide visitors through the corridor and a week of games, events, and activities.
Third Thursdays, a monthly event series, connects people to place through engaging activities, classes, games, entertainment and more. Centered on C Street Plaza, between 7th and 8th Streets SE, EMMS will bring outdoor seating and live entertainment to the corridor each event, and partner with organizations to offer activities organized around themes of movement such as biking, dancing, playing, and walking.
A one-of-a-kind walking and beverage tasting tour, Constitutional(n) highlights the history and businesses that make this corridor so unique. Guests can taste themed libations from local restaurants and drinkeries, and experience history in a way designed to satisfy curiosity and quench thirst.
THE HOLLY DAYS
The Holly Days are an EMMS initiative to draw customers and visitors to the corridor during the holiday season. From Small Business Saturday activation to extensive print and digital advertising to the Capitol Hill Caroling Marathon and more, 'tis the season to #ShopSmall and #ShopLocal!
