If you joined us in May for Third Thursdays, you probably saw artist Amber Kilpatrick at work.
Kilpatrick is a diversely talented artist, designer, and craftsman. With a unique voice and an inventive nature, she creates experimental works for special events and theater.
Kilpatrick will be back for our June 20 Third Thursday event and painting her continuum piece on site.
In the meantime, find her recent chalk art for the Pesce Too pop-up inside Bullfrog Bagel at Eastern Market, and her set designs for Amazing Grace: The Musical at the Museum of the Bible, Jubilee at the Kreeger Museum, and The Member of the Wedding at 1st Stage.
For more of Kilpatrick's work and available paintings, visit AK Design and follow her on Instagram @dirtyartkid.

I wasn't expecting much at first, but Drive Mad turned into one of those games where you keep retrying until every obstacle is cleared.
I'm so impressed by Amber Kilpatrick's versatility! From unique pastel drawings at pop-ups and deeply immersive theatrical stage designs to experimental, direct continuum paintings, her relentless creativity reminds me of the captivating and highly entertaining busyness of the game Monkey Mart – where everything is always in motion and full of vibrant colors. I definitely need to follow @dirtyartkid to not miss her next works!
In Retro Bowl, players take on the role of both coach and quarterback, making strategic decisions on and off the field.
It is also encouraging to see Escape Road artists contributing to different creative fields, from chalk art installations to theater set design.
