FIND ALL THE HIDDEN TURKEYS THROUGHOUT EASTERN MARKET AND BARRACKS ROW

TURKEY 
HUNT

​RULES TO ENTER

  • Cardboard turkey silhouettes are hidden at small and local businesses on Barrack’s Row – 8th St. SE from D St. SE to M St. SE – and Eastern Market – 7th St. SE from South Carolina Ave. SE to Pennsylvania SE. (including C St. SE cross streets) and Pennsylvania Ave. SE between 8th St. SE and 6th St. SE.

  • When you find a turkey, take a picture and post it to Instagram with the hashtag #thinkfallshopsmall and tag @easternmarketms and @barracksrow in your post.

 

  • You must spend a minimum of $50 at small and local businesses in the Barracks Row and Eastern Market area mentioned above in the month of November.

  • To submit your entry, visit easternmarketmainstreet.org/turkeyhunt and fill out the submission form. You will be asked to submit a link to your public Instagram handle so we can check the tagged turkeys, and to upload a photo of proof of purchase (that you spent at least $50 at a small business by the time of submission.)

  • Winners will receive a pair of tickets to the New Year’s Even Washington Commanders game against the San Francisco 49ers. Transportation will be provided by Eastern Market Main Street. The first 25 that complete the turkey hunt will be the High Five Tunnel to cheer on the players as they run onto the field. 

 

  • Winners of the High Five Tunnel tickets will be announced at our Small Business Saturday booth at the Metro Plaza. All winners will be contacted via submitted information on December 1st. The turkey hunt runs from November 1 to November 30. 

 

  • Participants must be 18 years or older, as we have to ask for contact information.
