Eastern Market Welcomes a New Vendor

Join us in welcoming a new vendor who will be selling his wares starting on April 5th. Chris Cole is a native Washingtonian who grew up in the neighborhood and even remembers Eastern Market before the fire that took place in 2007. He worked for the US Post Office directing Leadership and Career Development until retiring but now works as a Court Liaison for the Maryland State Police.
Last year, he and his business partner were vacationing in Mexico and were impressed by the number of people wearing customized trucker hats. Inspired to bring this look to Washington, DC, they began Beltway Brim-Works. Initially they organized a series of vibrant pop-up events where customers create their own high-quality trucker hats while enjoying a community experience featuring music and local food vendors. When they chose to expand the business to hosting a booth, Chris decided to return to the neighborhood he grew up in and reached out to Eastern Market. He boasts a huge collection of hats himself and has made a habit of purchasing trucker hats on his many travels, including a few from Dubai and, of course, Mexico where Beltway Brim-Works started.
I wasn't expecting much at first, but Drive Mad turned into one of those games where you keep retrying until every obstacle is cleared.
I ordered groceries for delivery, but when they arrived, the milk was already sour and the fruit was bruised. I was annoyed, especially since I’d paid for express delivery. I didn't want to go to the store, so I searched for the Safeway phone number and gave them a call. The representative was incredibly helpful and issued a refund for the spoiled items right away. The money was back in my account within minutes. It was such a stress-free experience that I will definitely order from them again.
What could be better than experiencing the joy of designing unique trucker hats yourself while enjoying the vibrant community atmosphere? This exciting experience reminds me of the fun, challenging, and colorful feeling of solving Dordle puzzles every day – always surprising and deeply personal!
