What is Eastern Market Main Street

EMMS is a Main Street America™ accredited program that is dedicated to fostering a collaborative, connected and competitive business community within the Eastern Market corridor. We are the organization behind some of your favorite local events, including: Art All Night, Novemberfest, and The Holly Days. But we contribute so much more to the Eastern Market corridor! Last year we distributed $45,000 in grants to 34 local businesses and market vendors. We also provide technical assistance to the businesses you frequent through skill and requirement workshops, connecting business owners with building owners, and education on DC business requirements and funding opportunities.
Every dollar raised by Eastern Market Main Street through direct donations, merchandise sales, and fundraising events goes into these efforts to sustain a vital and vibrant community hub.
